Our apartment is situated on about 700 meters above sea level at the south of the Rigi. It offers a spectacular view over the lake of Lucerne and the surrounding mountains (Pilatus, Bürgenstock and the alps of Uri, Nid- and Obwalden). Weggis is a village with approximately 4000 habitants. It is perfectly developed for for the tourism. Already several decades ago, many tourist where attracted by the favorable warm climate. You’ll find the exact situation on the following 2 maps below.
How to get there by car:
Take the highway A4 and take the exit ‘Küssnacht/Gersau/Weggis’. Traverse Küssnacht and follow the direction Weggis. On the bypass of Weggis, quit the main road and follow the indication to the cable car to Rigi. At the stop, take left and follow this road (Rigistrasse) taking you up for approximately 2 km (approximately 4 minutes). As soon as the road called ‘Riedsortstrasse’ enters your road from the right, you did arrive at the vacation house called ‘Bannholzegg’. The house is located on the right hand site.the address is: Riedsortstrasse 107, 6353 Weggis. We wish you a lovely stay.
How to get there by public transportation:
We suggest you take the boat from Lucerne to Weggis. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and you will already enjoy the wonderful landscape. You will get off at Weggis and take the bus nbr. 9. Please get of at the bus station Bannholzegg. The vacation house is situated underneath the bus stop. Unfortunately, the bus schedule isn’t regular. The exact address is: Riedsortstrasse 107, 6353 Weggis. You’ll find the name Bannholzegg written on the house.
Alternatively, you can take the train to Küssnacht am Rigi. From there you’ll take the bus nbr. 2 into direction Weggis and get of at the harbor. There you’ll take the bus nbr. 9 (see above).
